Cale Makar compliments Connor Bedard on his skillset
As we have mentioned, Connor Bedard has not relaxed since the draft has taken place.
Cale Makar, who is a defenseman for the Colorado Avalanche, is among the players who have spoken highly of the prospect.
- Wanted to get your Connor Bedard impressions, man. What are your feelings about what you've seen from this kid? And also, any advice you may have imparted to this young athlete?
CALE MAKAR: Yeah, I mean, on the ice, he's a pretty incredible player. You can tell just, like, his stickhandling and his shot is so smooth. And it's going to be fun to watch in actual gameplay and stuff.
But no, I think he's got some good resources around him there in Chicago this year. And I'm excited to see what he does. But he's definitely got a lot of the-- all his tools are pretty amazing. It's fun to watch.
In addition to Bedard's stick-handling skills and his shot, Makar gave him high marks for the whole toolset Bedard possesses. He expressed his excitement for Bedard to play in the league this season.
There is no doubt that Makar's compliment is a big deal, because he has been considered to be one of the best defensemen in the current NHL, having won the Norris Trophy.
Seeing these two compete against each other will be an amazing experience.
