As the Blackhawks intensify their training camp, new players who have joined the team are discovering the ins and outs of life in the city that has embraced them. Connor Bedard, the first overall choice, is among those players getting acquainted with the Chicago way of life.
Born in North Vancouver, BC, Bedard is somewhat accustomed to living in a larger city, as Vancouver is one of Canada's largest cities. Now residing in the Windy City, which boasts a metropolitan area of 9.6 million people, Bedard is experiencing a more fast-paced lifestyle.
Bedard shared his thoughts on driving in the city, which is vastly different from North Vancouver. You can see his comments in this Instagram post:
On the rink and the ice, Bedard is settling into his role as an NHL superstar, having been paired with Taylor Hall on the same line. Having a veteran player like Hall alongside Bedard will undoubtedly aid the young player's development and provide him with a winger renowned for his lethal shot.
If everything goes according to plan during camp, their chemistry could flourish and result in a potent combination.
The Blackhawks' first preseason game is scheduled for September 28th against the St. Louis Blues.
