The Montreal Canadiens released several medical updates Wednesday morning, and they are not good. Juraj Slafkovsky, the former first overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft, will be out for three months. He suffered a lower-body injury that will not require surgery. He probably played his last game of the season on Sunday against the New York Rangers.

He has 10 points, including 4 goals, in 39 games this season. The 6-foot-6 Slovak winger has played well in recent games, so it's sad to see him get hurt. Habs fans will have to wait for next season to see what he can do.

In addition to the update on Slafkovsky, Montreal mentioned that Jonathan Drouin suffered an upper-body injury on Jan. 12 against Nashville. He will be out until the All-Star break. Drouin cannot catch a break with injuries. He was slowly getting better after his precedent injury.

Jake Allen and Joel Armia are also out with upper-body injuries. Allen will be out at least a week and Armia will be out until the All-Star break. Jake Evan suffered a lower-body injury that will not require surgery. He will be out 8 to 10 weeks.

It will be interesting to see how Montreal does with all these injuries. Will they slip even further in the standings? We will see.
