The Chicago Blackhawks have re-signed forward Joey Anderson to a one-year, two-way deal worth $800,000.
Anderson, 25, showcased his solid play in 24 games last season, recording six points (four goals, two assists) and standing out in a bottom-six role with an average ice time of 12:56.
Following the NHL season, he joined the Rockford IceHogs in the AHL, contributing three assists in two regular-season games and two goals with one assist in the playoffs.
Acquired from the Toronto Maple Leafs in February, Anderson had three points in 14 NHL games and an impressive 27 points in 30 AHL games with the Toronto Marlies. His re-signing bolsters the Blackhawks' roster for the upcoming season.
