This morning on Montreal radio station BMP Sports, Patrick Roy spoke about his retirement and the end of his career with the Colorado Avalanches. The Hall of Fame goaltender mentioned that he wanted to be respectful to the Avalanche organization and end his time there on good terms.

Even though he did not speak directly about Carey Price, the Habs legend did not hesitate to throw shades at the injured goaltender.

When talking about the end of his career, Roy had this to say, "I'd rather retire than be on the injured list and get paid."
At the time, Roy still had a year left on his contrat $8.5 million but he decided it was time to retire. Patrick Roy seems to be implying that it is disrespectful of Price to stay on the injured list and get paid.

Carey Price has been on the injured list since the beginning of the season and has not played since last April. Many believe it may have been the last game of Price's career. The goalie will continue to receive $10.5 million per year through 2026. In his career, Price played 712 games for Montreal and won 361 of them.

Would not we all do the same if we were in Carey Price's situation? After all, Price earned his contract based on his performance and commitment. It's not his fault that he's injured now. What do you think?
