Brent Seabrook is a Blackhawks icon on the blue line, Seabrook played the game at a high-intensity that we do not get to witness a lot in todays NHL games.

Seabrook was not one to lay checks as often as most defensive defenseman, but when he did he made sure it was worth it.

Seabrook's name has been thrown around more than usual this off-season, which is reasoned to the Blackhawks messy franchise at the moment after multiple trades took place and also the let go of Eddie Olczyk, who's contract was not renewed by the Hawks.

Well, on September 3rd Seabrook has made a official announcement.

Seabrook has officially signed a contract to be a player development coach for the Vancouver Giants of the WHL. This is a great step and opportunity for Seabrook, and maybe a stepping stone job for a Blackhawks position in the future.

Checkout a photo of Seab's below, he's looking great!

Brent Seabrook is joining the Vancouver Giants in the Western Hockey League (WHL) as a player development coach. Seabrook, 37, is a three-time Stanley Cup champion, scoring 103 goals and 464 points through 1,114 games,
all with the #Blackhawks.

He was also a part of the Tampa Bay Lightning organization, but never played a game and ended up retiring.
