Alex DeBrincat's Plan After Leaving Chicago Fails Miserably
Alex DeBrincat made headlines last year when he expressed his desire to leave the Chicago Blackhawks. Fast forward to the NHL draft and DeBrincat got his wish when he was traded to the Ottawa Senators in exchange for the 7th overall pick. However, his time in Ottawa has been bittersweet as the Senators were eliminated from playoff contention after a tough loss to the Florida Panthers last night.
Despite his team's struggles, DeBrincat has continued to be a productive player on the ice, currently sitting at 64 points for the season. However, this falls short of his impressive performance last season with the Blackhawks where he tallied 78 points.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for DeBrincat and the Senators, but one thing is for certain - the young forward has proven his worth as a talented and dynamic player in the NHL.
