Team issues statement on Blackhawks forward Philip Kurashev
Philipp Kurashev wasn't sure what kind of contract he'd receive, after going to arbitration with the Chicago Blackhawks this summer.
He did get paid and got paired with the Blackhawks' 1st overall pick, Connor Bedard this season.
Following a reasonable showing last season, he was sure to follow it up posting 54 points( 18 G, 36 A) with Bedard as a linemate during some of the 2023-2024 NHL regular season. A massive jump in production, undoubtedly thanks to his playmaking and finishing skills.
He has grown into a top-six forward quite well and will continue to grow as a forward in the Blackhawks system.
Kurashev has played 266 NHL Games with the Blackhawks, posting 116 points( 41 G, 75 A) across four seasons in the Windy City.
He has earned his paycheck and more this season.
