An update was released on Patrick Kane's injury ahead of the Detroit Red Wings' final road trip game tonight against the Las Vegas Golden Knights.
The Golden Knights are once again among the NHL elite this year, and in order to win, the Wings will need to play their A-game.
In addition, an update on Patrick Kane's injury announced that the Wings won't be able to count on him for the game.
Update On Patrick Kane Ahead Of Final Game Of Road Trip In Vegas Tonight
On their current road trip, the team is 4-1-0 and would surely love to end the trip on a high note.
However, without Kane, the team's top six haven't been able to generate as much offense as we saw earlier in the season.
There's been zero update on his current condition, and at his age, we wonder if it could be season-ending.
They've remained competitive, but his absence can still be noticed. After all, Kane brings experience, poise, elite skills, and leadership.
In his career, the 36-year-old veteran winger has tallied 1,348 points in 1,307 games.
Seeing the team able to win without him must have been a great sight for Steve Yzerman and Todd McLellan, but nothing compared to seeing him back in the lineup when he's ready.
This season, he was limited to five games, in which he tallied five points. If the Wings can win without him, it's hard to predict just how great the team will be once he returns.
