NHL Insider Frank Servalli released a statement on the Chicago Blackhawks rebuild led by Kyle Davidson, and it is sure to be controversial.
NHL Insider Frank Seravalli has made multiple appearances on the Chicago Sports Network this season, during games and offering analysis of the night's events, along with ongoing storylines in the NHL.
This time, he appeared on the CHSN. It was no different, as they were discussing the Blackhawks' rebuild in lieu of another successful NHL draft, selecting 3rd overall.
The high from the draft has worn off, as fans have come down to Earth and are wondering when, exactly, they should expect to see a winning team placed on the ice in the United Center.
Frank Seravalli believes it might be a little longer process, as fans shouldn't expect much different in 2025-26. They should expect one more season of a lottery year, and another rock-bottom finish in the Central Division and NHL standings.
Then, he said, that's when things will change for the
Blackhawks.
This will be another year on the wheel of pain for Blackhawks fans who have already seen two consecutive last-place finishes in their own division.
Despite that, the young players continue to take more of a prominent role in the lineup, including the blue line.
Which, if what Frank Seravalli is true, better strap on your walking boots, as you'll be on the wheel of pain for one more season before the Blackhawks as a team truly take shape into a future contending team.
The Blackhawks finished 8th place in the Central Division, with a record of 25-46-11.
