Back in 2017, instead of the usual New Year's Day, the NHL treated us to a Winter Classic at Busch Stadium. The Blackhawks went up against the St. Louis Blues, making it a day to remember.
Things started off on a high note when Patrick Kane scored the first goal just over a minute into the game. But, sadly, that was the only bright spot for the Blackhawks that day.
The Blues fought back, with Patrik Berglund tying the game in the second period. Then Vladimir Tarasenko took over, scoring twice in the third period. Alexander Steen finished it off with an empty-netter, and the Blackhawks ended up losing 4-1.
