In the QMHL, a massive trade occurred today involving one of the Chicago Blackhawks' forward prospects.

After starting the season with the Gatineau Olympiques in the QMJHL, Samuel Savoie suffered an injury that ended his season.

Despite not getting a chance to play in the Olympiques this season, Savoie had a tremendous 2022-2023 season, scoring 26 goals and recording 33 assists for 59 points.

Due to a broken femur suffered during the NHL pre-season against the Minnesota Wild, he was unable to return to the QMJHL.

Sounds like Samuel Savoie will join Rouyn-Noranda in 4-6 weeks. Not sure if he'll return to play in that amount of time, but positive news nonetheless. #Blackhawks #HawksProspects

As of now, Savoie has been traded to the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies and a return date is unclear.

In return for Savoie, Gatineau received first, third, fourth and fifth round picks in 2024, as well as second and fifth round picks in 2025.
