Wild Goaltender Unexpectedly Leaves Game And ''Puked His Brains Out''

With just over 2 minutes left in the Wild vs Lightning game, Minnesota goaltender Filip Gustavsson fled the ice and headed straight down the tunnel. Now, it is not unusual for goalies to leave near the end of games to give their team an extra attackerexcept that the Wild were up 5-1, and didn't need an extra attacker. So, out came Marc-André Fleury, for 2:03. He faced no shots, and Gus was credited with the win, stopping 34 of 35 shots.

After the game, Gustavsson was not available to the media, and the only person who had any information on him was Coach Evason, himself.

As of this morning, the report is that he's being "evaluated."

The 24 year old from Sweden has been more than a solid back-up for the Wild. He and Fleury make an excellent tandem, and when the rest of the team gets healthy, and stops taking all those penalties, they'll definitely be a contending force.
