The hockey community mourns the loss of former NHL player Réginald Savage, who passed away at the age of 53 after a courageous battle with cancer. Our thoughts and condolences go out to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Savage's NHL career, spanning from 1990 to 1994, saw him make an impact with the Washington Capitals and Québec Nordiques.

Beyond the NHL, Savage's journey in hockey extended to various leagues and teams, showcasing his dedication to the sport. He played in the AHL for the Baltimore Skipjacks, Cornwall Aces, Syracuse Crunch, Springfield Falcons, and Milwaukee Admirals, among others.

His international contributions include representing Canada at the 1989 World Juniors and the 2001 Spengler Cup, leaving a lasting mark on the global stage.


Savage's versatile career took him to different leagues, including stops in Italy, Switzerland, and various teams in the United States. His passion for the game and his diverse experiences made him a respected figure in the hockey community.
