Tonight marks the playoff debut of the year of not one, but two former Chicago Blackhawks who were traded at the NHL trade deadline. Patrick Kane, a veteran forward and a three-time Stanley Cup champion, will take the ice for his 137th career playoff game with the Buffalo Sabres. However, Kane is not alone in making his playoff debut with a new team.
Jake McCabe, a former Blackhawks defenseman, will also make his first postseason appearance tonight with the Toronto Maple Leafs. McCabe was acquired by the Leafs at the trade deadline and has been a valuable addition to their blue line ever since.
