Patrick Kane Staying in The Windy City For One More Year?

The biggest trends coming out of Chicago this season had sadly not been surrounding their play, but their players. Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews are the two names drawing the most interest of course, but others such as Jake McCabe, Max Domi and now Sam Lafferty have surfaced as potential fits for other organizations that can draw the Blackhawks a lot of good value.
Kane and Toews both have roughly two weeks time before the NHL Trade Deadline day hits on March 3rd, where they will no longer be able to waive their no-movement clause and request a trade. Things have picked up lately with Patrick Kane, but Jonathan Toews has yet to comment on his future in Chicago as of late. Kane has though, and it's sounding like he does want out, throughout multiple interviews Kane has stated he and his agent Pat Brisson have been contacted by contending reams, Kane stated it as «intriguing».
Although the two are listed in the top-10 players available throughout the NHL, it seems very unlikely that both get traded or receive serious interest from buyers willing to pay. Recent reports from The Athletic NHL revealed that Patrick Kane will likely need hip surgery, and many have noticed that he's been struggling this year greatly due to his hip issues.
If he doesn't get it the surgery this season, he will stick to not being fully healthy, and will get the surgery in the off-season where he may not 100% recover from heading into the 2023-24 season.
The question is, will teams want to give up insane value and potentially damage their future by trading their prospect to acquire one of the best US born players of all-time, even though he is not 100% and needs surgery? The answer is likely not, and Jonathan Toews is still in the same boat. Jonathan Toews has missed the Blackhawks' past 6-straight practice, and is out with a «non-COVID related illness». This has drawn serious concern due to the fact that Toews missed an entire season a while back due to a serious illness.
The solution that has been brought up and makes the sense is Kane and Toews re-sign in Chicago for one more year, figure out their health issues and at next years deadline they choose to be dealt elsewhere. A farewell tour for one more year wouldn't hurt, and all signs show that Kane and Toews will remain a Blackhawk for one more season.
