The Blackhawks may have just found Patrick Kane's replacement.

News came out yesterday morning that the Hawks have signed AHL winger David Gust to a 2-year contract worth $762,000 a year. Yesterday evening, there was a whole frenzy about Kane being traded to the Rangers (which is a huge possibility considering everything), and it just so happens to be that we signed a winger that morning.
Gust has 50 points in 51 games with the Rockford Icehogs. He is 29 years old. It just sucks he's finally being called up now and we waited so long for him to finally break out. We'll see what he does up in the big leagues, as he may get a lot of playing time after this trade deadline is all said and done.
