In the face of devastating forest fires that have led to the evacuation of numerous families in Quebec, Sam Girard, a Stanley Cup Champion with the Colorado Avalanche, has opened his home in Roberval to those affected.

Currently, two families, including a 14-month-old baby, have found refuge in his bedroom, and more are expected to join. As community centers become overwhelmed with displaced individuals, the generosity of people like Girard becomes vital for those left with nowhere else to turn.

Girard's act of kindness not only provides shelter but also offers a glimmer of hope and support to the affected families during this challenging time.
