The Minnesota Wild emerged victorious with a score of 8-5 over the St. Louis Blues in their recent game. A noteworthy moment occurred in the late 2nd period, when Marc-Andre Fleury confronted Jordan Binnington. Following a powerplay goal by Ryan Hartman, he made contact with Binnington, which triggered a reaction from the Blues goaltender.

Binnington leapt up and used his blocker to hit Hartman, causing Fleury to take action. The experienced goalie immediately charged down the ice, but the officials intervened and prevented him from reaching Binnington.

Numerous individuals were curious about what could have provoked Marc-Andre Fleury, who is typically composed and tranquil, to react in such a manner. However, Fleury disclosed after the game what Jordan Binnington had done to trigger his response.

That one was pretty quick. One of the guys said (Binnington) hit them in the nuts, in the nutsack. Can I say nutsack? Then when I saw him throw another one at our guy, that was the time.

I'm not surprised. I've seen Jordan do a few things in his career, that's why I went. I made my decision pretty quick.

Jordan Binnington may encounter supplementary discipline as a consequence of his behavior, but it's encouraging to witness players starting to hold the unstable goaltender responsible for his actions. While it is acceptable for a goalie to defend themselves, intentionally striking another player in a sensitive area is unacceptable. It's just a matter of time before Binnington is held accountable for his actions.

Update: The League has declared that Binnington will have a hearing concerning the incident.
