Gameday Preview: Winnipeg Jets vs. Chicago Blackhawks

The Blackhawks most recently fell to Kirby Dach and the Montreal Canadiens on Friday 3-2 in a shootout. The Blackhawks are now 6-10-4 on the season and are currently ranked 29th in the NHL league standings with 16 points and a -21 goal differential.

The Winnipeg Jets are coming off of an OT win Friday night against the Dallas Stars. The Jets are 2nd in the Central Division with a 12-6-1 record and 25 points in 19 games.

Some players to watch in this one for the Blackhawks are Andreas Athanasiou and Patrick Kane. Athanasiou has 3 goals in his last 5 games as well as a shootout goal in the loss on Friday. Kane has 3 assists and 4 points in his last 5 games, including an assist during Friday's loss.

Some players to watch for the Jets are Kyle Connor and Josh Morrissey. Connor has 5 goals in his last 5 games and has been a threat with the puck on his stick all over the ice. Morrissey has 5 points in his last 5 games and has been just as reliable in the defensive end of the ice.

The Blackhawks have been struggling, but have generated dangerous scoring chances over the last few games. We'll see if they can finally put some pucks in the back of the net and take some pressure off of the defense in this one.
