Former Blackhawk Gets Huge Opportunity

Erik Gustafsson, a former defenseman for the Chicago Blackhawks, has proven to be a valuable asset to the Toronto Maple Leafs since joining their lineup.

However, his ice time has been limited during the post-season, with only one appearance in game 6 against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Despite this, Gustafsson is a skilled defenseman, evidenced by his 42-point season in 70 games played, and has the ability to contribute offensively.

With rookie forward Matthew Knies sidelined due to injury, Gustafsson has been given the opportunity to play on the 2nd power-play unit. During practice before game 3, he was spotted leading the 2nd power-play unit, as reported by Jonas Siegel of The Athletic.

Now, Gustafsson must step up and make an impact in the post-season in order to help the team defeat the Florida Panthers.
