Without a question, forward Trevor Zegras of the Anaheim Ducks is one of the most promising young players in the NHL right now. Zegras, however, has faced criticism from other players in the League because of statements he reportedly made during Saturday night's game against the Arizona Coyotes.
Zegras was accused of bringing up Troy Stecher, a defenseman with the Coyotes, deceased father. Stecher was understandably enraged, as he had never been and many noticed that. Zegras pointed to the sky and looked to say something about his father.
Zegras has since denied ever saying anything along those lines, but it was evident from the video that he said something that incited Stecher's outrage in a way that had never been witnessed before. Stecher was also seen explaining what Zegras allegedly stated to players from both teams, and it's deemed ''crossing the line'', but they refuse to reveal what was said.
