The Chicago Blackhawks dropped another game on Wednesday when they lost to the Carolina Hurricanes 4-3 at home. While it's better than some teams around the league, Blackhawks attendance for home games has been far from a sellout and it definitely shows when it comes to the atmosphere in the building. It's still better than last year when there was no fans, however captain Jonathan Toews who didn't play last year doesn't like what he sees. "It's definitely different," Toews said. "I know I wasn't around last year and guys played in empty buildings last year, and it was enough to make you look around and wonder what was going on."
"Obviously the losing streak and a lot of different variables right now. It is what it is. I think as a team, we're confident we'll get on the horse and start building and winning games, and hopefully start filling the seats again."
Head coach Jeremy Colliton understands losing doesn't bring fans but appreciates those who come. "It's up to us to play well, that's what we can control," Colliton said. "We do appreciate the people who come and show support. I think the atmosphere last game was pretty good, it was an exciting game."
What do you think of Toews' comments?
