Chicago Blackhawks Acquire New York Rangers Star In Massive Trade Proposal

In a massive trade proposal, an analyst suggested that the Chicago Blackhawks will acquire a New York Rangers star player.
The Chicago Blackhawks could greatly benefit from adding a responsible, experienced veteran to their top six. Fortunately, there are many interesting candidates for the job.
A new report suggested that the Blackhawks should target the Rangers' veteran center Mika Zibanejad.
In fact, it was even suggested that the Rangers should send him alongside a second-round draft pick in return for future considerations, in a deal that would be based on dumping Zibanejad's salary to Chicago: the fourth biggest contract of the organization.
It was also mentioned that with J.T. Miller, Zibanejad's skillset isn't as needed in New York as it was:
"This would see the Rangers trade Mika Zibanejad (20% retained) to the Blackhawks along with a second-round pick in exchange for future considerations. So, it would be a cap dump as Zibanejad will be the fourth highest paid player on the team at $8.5 million AAV next season and there are a number of contracts that are jumping up in price, including the ones that aren't yet signed.

Like the rest of his team, Zibanejad struggled last season, scoring 62 points, including 20 goals, his lowest point-per-game ratio and goal differential since 2017-18, with -22.
However, before a trade goes down, Zibanejad will need to approve it, as his $8.5M AAV contract has a no-movement clause with it.
The Rangers will be looking to bounce back next season after a tough year, and Zibanejad could be interested in staying with the Blueshirts for another chance at winning the Stanley Cup in New York.
