The hockey gods were completely on the Chicago Blackhawks' side last night as they landed the #3 overall pick in the NHL Draft Lottery. It'll give the Hawks a huge chance at a top tier prospect and Hawks' fans and analysts are already drooling at all the possibilities.Charlie Roumeliotis of NBC Sports Chicago has put together a list of the Top 6 prospects the Hawks' could target with that #3 pick. In no particular order:Bowen Byram/Defenseman - The 6' 193lb 17 year old had 71 points in 67 games this year for the Vancouver Giants of the WHL. He would join a group of talented Blackhawks defensive prospects the team has accumulated which includes Nicolas Beaudin, Adam Boqvist, Henri Jokiharju. Dylan Cozens/Centre - The 18 year old is the third ranked North American skater after registering 84 points in 68 games for the Lethbridge Hurricanes of the WHL this past season. He's labeled as a smart two way forward and stands 6'3" and weighs in at 180lbs. Kirby Dach/Centre - Ranked right behind Jack Hughes, Dach put up 73 points in 62 games in the WHL this past season. Another power center who like Cozens can play a solid two way game and be a shutdown centre. Peyton Krebs/LeftWingCentre - Captain of the Kootenay Ice in the WHL, Krebs is a versatile forward who can bounce from the wing to centre. Smaller than the previous players mentioned, his hockey IQ makes up for it. Vasili Podkolzin/RightWing - The only European player on the list, he's the most likely to be drafted after Kaapo Kakko. The 6'1 190lb Russian put on quite a show at the U18's this year registering 15 points in 8 games. The one road block here is that speculation has grown that the forward has a KHL contract that runs through the 2020-21 season. Alex Turcotte/Centre - A speedy, small forward, Turcotte can definitely razzle and dazzle you with his offensive skills. The 18 year old registered 53 points in 30 games with the US National Under 18 team this past season. He's an Illinois native to boot and played for the Chicago Mission Under 16 team.
