The Chicago Blackhawks have pretty much locked themselves in as sellers during the upcoming trade deadline. It's been reported that interim general manager Kyle Davidson has the power to make the moves he wants to and won't have any restrictions. With the team 8 points behind the second wild card spot, pretty much anything is on the table. Including a Dylan Strome trade which has been available by the Hawks before Davidson even took over. The Blackhawks have been trying to trade Strome going back to last season but just can't find any takers and it's pretty surprising considering what the Hawks' are reportedly asking for. According to Blackhawks' insider Mark Lazerus of The Athletic, it's not that high of a price. Lazerus reports that the Hawks would let go of Strome for a third or fourth round pick! Are you surprised that nobody has been willing to take a chance on Strome at that price? The 24 year old has 10 points in 26 games so far this season and will be RFA after the season.
