While the Chicago Blackhawks and general manager Stan Bowman are currently working out player contracts, it's not the only one that might get signed. According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman the Blackhawks are currently working on getting a deal done with Bowman. The GM's contract is winding down and as he continues to revamp and rebuild the team, it sounds like upper management believes in his vision for the future. Bowman's moves have been question heavily over the last couple of years however his vision for the future is coming together and the team has stockpiled some good defensive prospects in the system.
