Photos online raise significant health concerns for Capitals' Alexander Ovechkin
A recent photo was posted on X.com of Washington Capitals superstar Alexander Ovechkin showing his physique while being on a beach during the offseason which has some fans concerned.
OV has been a machine for goal scoring and point production for the capitals over his entire career. It seems that he is willing to relax and let his body relax while he is in the offseason. Probably picture appears concerning in terms of his general physique and strength OV is always fit and ready to go to play hockey.
He's also not a small man, standing at six foot three 235 lbs, he certainly carries his weight as best he can and now at the age of 38 years old certainly is not as cut as he was before.
He enters next season with one goal in mind which is trying to be the best all time score in the NHL as he is chasing Wayne Gretzky's record. OV currently has 853 goals which is 42 goals shy of being the best. Short of a major injury, it's likely he will break the record as he is determined to get this even if it means playing into his 40s.
