"The Chicago Blackhawks made a pretty big statement last night as they took it to one of the hottest teams in the NHL. While it didn't always look like an easy win as the Carolina Hurricanes came back from a 3-1 deficit after 20 minutes, the Blackhawks were able to hold on and skate away with a 6-4 win. Forward Patrick Kane had a very solid night with one goals and three assists putting his season total to 15 points in 12 games. After the game Kane had some pretty heavy praise for head coach Jeremy Colliton, not exactly something you hear from fans these days. "Jeremy's setting a culture here where he wants the hard work and he wants guys skating well, winning battles. A lot of these guys do that so well. That's something I can get better at, too."Despite losing two key players to injury for the majority if not all season, losing players to COVID and big question marks surrounding the goalie position, the Blackhawks sit just one point out of first place right now in the very tight Discover Central Division. What do you think of Kane's comments?
Patrick Kane gives Jeremy Colliton credit for "building a culture" of working hard and finding a way to hang around every game. Alex DeBrincat says the "buy-in" is there. — Mark Lazerus (@MarkLazerus) February 5, 2021
