The Florida Panthers and Matthew Tkachuk buried the Tampa Bay Lightning's post-season hopes on Wednesday night in Game 5 with a 6-3 win, and the gritty forward decided to rub it in a bit more during his postgame comments.

In what was supposed to be one of the most anticipated playoff matchups, with the Battle of Florida taking place, it was ultimately one of the most dominating one-sided series in favor of the Panthers.
Most games were a blowout with a 6-2, 6-3, and a shutout 2-0 win for the Panthers, despite the Lightning being one of the favorites to take home the Stanley Cup this season.
As the Tampa Bay Lightning pack their bags and plan their next move of taking their goldf bags out of storage for the off-season, Matthew Tkachuk had to rub one last time with a pretty cold quote.
When asked about the 'longtime rivalry' of the two teams, Tkachuk isn't sure that it's still a rivalry, likely due to a one-sided matchup.
I don't know if it's really a rivalry.
Tkachuk posted a surprising three goals and two assists in five games throughout Round 1, despite a clear injury looming that was endured on Feb. 15 at the 4 Nations Face-Off tournament and limited him to a long absence.
