Washington Capitals veteran and Warroad Hockey owner, TJ Oshie, is set to make a heartbreaking announcement for NHL fans everywhere on Monday at Washington Harbour.

Washington Capitals veteran TJ Oshie has won one Stanley Cup during his career, in 2018 when the team defeated the newly minted misfit Vegas Golden Knights.
The memory of his contributions to that should be memorialized forever, as fans may have to deal with the heartbreaking announcement, which will happen on Monday, at Washington Harbour in Georgetown.
Oshie will be calling it a career after dealing with numerous injuries in the past few years, and a recent report confirms it.
NBC Sports' JP Finlay also congratulated Oshie on a great career, confirming his retirement.
The Capitals organization has confirmed the event will be open to the general public, but didn't specify the official reason for the event.

Retirement for TJ Oshie incoming

He'd miss the entire 2024-25 campaign and would only play a total of 52 games in the last two seasons for the Capitals.
In a remarkable coincidence, the date Oshie has chosen to hold the event is seven years to the day since the Washington Capitals won the Cup.
Perhaps, a way for Oshie to end his career in the NHL symbolically, while echoing thoughts of better times for Capitals fans who may have to say goodbye to the skilled forward for good, at least in an NHL uniform.
Oshie has one Stanley Cup to his name and played a total of 1010 games, split between the St. Louis Blues and the Washington Capitals.
He's tallied a total of 695 points (302 goals, 693 assists).
This is another case where a multitude of injuries had simply caused Oshie to consider retirement after catching up with him.
Fans will undoubtedly be heartbroken if he does step away from the game, as he was a fan favorite for Capitals fans.
