Is A Suspension Incoming for the Dallas Stars Jamie Benn for this Dirty Play?

Albeit it will be the determination of the Department of Player Safety whether or not the Dallas Stars' Jamie Benn will see discipline.

On Saturday night's Game 7 between the Avalanche and Stars, the tensions flared as Jamie Benn brutally cross-checked Valeri Nichushkin in the face. This is an elimination game and of course all bets are off.

Benn would gift the Colorado Avalanche a power-play, with a double-minor penalty as a result of a cross-check to the face which left Valeri Nichushkin seeping out onto the ice.

A replay of the "play" showed that Benn did this intentionally, which upset Nichushkin, understandably so. This kind of play should draw ire from fans and more scrutiny from Toronto, as Benn seems to have no shame.

Benn and the Stars would escape a major penalty during the game, thankfully.

But we'll have to see what kind of discipline Toronto will mete out.

We all know how inconsistent George Parros, and the DOPS so, we'll have to count the days until Toronto decides to make a major decision on Benn's "play".

At the end of the 2nd period, the Colorado Avalanche lead the Dallas Stars' in Game 7, 1-0.

The lone goal was scored at 9:50 in the second period by Josh Manson, with an assist from Logan O'Connor.
