It was reported that former Stanley Cup champion, Montreal Canadiens and St. Louis Blues forward Phil Roberto passed away at he age of 76.

It was reported today by the St. Louis Blues organization that forward Phil Roberto had tragically passed away at the age of 76.
Roberto began his NHL career with the Montreal Canadiens in December of 1969. Roberto would only offer ancillary production, scoring 1 assist in eight games with the Habs that year.
The Canadiens forward would increase his production significantly during the 1970-71 season, where he'd tally 35 points (14 goals, 21 assists) in 39 games. He'd tally another assist in 15 playoff games, where the Canadiens would win the Stanley Cup against the Chicago Blackhawks.
There's no major information we could find on the trade, but Roberto would be shipped to St. Louis partly through the 1971-1972 season, where he'd score a total of 77 points (33 goals, 44 assists) in 148 games wearing the Blues note.
He'd later join the Detroit Red Wings during the 1974-75 season, and would score a total of 48 points (14 goals, 34 assists) in 83 games wearing the winged wheel.
Roberto would later understand the journeyman experience in the NHL as he'd join three different teams in 1975-76 to 77, joining such teams as the Colorado Rockies, Kansas City Scouts, and Cleveland Barons.
He'd later abandon ship and join the upstart and revolutionary league, the WHA. Roberto would join the Birmingham Bulls and say goodbye to the NHL for good.
His NHL career totals are 385 games played, 181 points (75 goals, 106 assists), and one Stanley Cup with the Montreal Canadiens.
We send our deepest condolences to the Roberto family, friends, and colleagues.
