Heartbreaking news involving icon Don Cherry announced to the hockey world

Former Hockey Night in Canada and CBC commentator Don Cherry dropped some heartbreaking news today, as he announced the end of the "Grapevine" podcast.
Don Cherry is known for his braggadocious and grandiose style of commentary that has captivated generations of hockey fans.
Not only did his colorful outfits set him apart, but his controversial nature put him in the headlines on a regular basis. After his dismissal from Hockey Night in Canada in 2019, he'd go his own route.
Cherry and his son, Tim, would start a podcast called the "Grapevine," where they could continue to glean their knowledge and opinions on the sport of hockey.
In a heartbreaking circumstance, at the conclusion of the 313th episode of the podcast, Cherry announced the "Grapevine" would end.
Well, Tim, this is our last show.,
A successful podcast by any means, as his son Tim would interject that 6.5 million people have downloaded the podcast over the years.
How many podcasts have we done? This is our 313th, we've been listened to all around the world, and it's just amazing how many different countries, you know, people download and listen to it. We've had 6.5 million downloads, which is pretty good.
Cherry would offer his regards and goodbye as we could hear the embodiment of a frail 91-year-old legend:

Cherry would explain after his firing in 2019 that he was happy to be starting up his "Grapevine" podcast again.
Evidently, I said something that upset Sportsnet, and they canned me, and now I'm unemployed except for doing this beautiful podcast. Just two little words just seemed to set everybody off. I lived in a vicious world and I lasted 38 years. If I've got to go, I'm glad I'm going out on my shield.
Cherry will remain a polarizing figure in the history of the NHL and has kept his legacy alive through his podcast, which lasted a total of 313 episodes. Quite a monument for someone whose influenced the hockey world in so many ways.
