"There hasn't been much positive in the Chicago Blackhawks season as they sit in the basement of the Western Conference. However one of the Hawks' defenseman is starting to shine through, quietly putting together some positive stats. Erik Gustafsson has been one of the league's best defenseman since Novemeber 21st. Gustafsson is currently tied with Miro Heiskanen with 7 goals since that date to lead league defenseman. He's registered 17 points since then which has him ranked 10th, just a couple of points away from Brent Burns who leads defenseman with 24 since November 21st. Has he been the Hawks best defenseman this season?
Among defensemen since Nov. 21, Erik Gustafsson is tied with Miro Heiskanen in goals (7) and he's 10th in points with 17.#Blackhawks Brent Burns is No. 1 in points with 24 (4G, 20A).#NHL — John Dietz (@johndietzdh) January 7, 2019
