The Chicago Blackhawks and general manager Stan Bowman announced some roster moves and injury news on Wednesday. Forward Marcus Kruger has been placed on injured reserve because of a concussion. Kruger took a big elbow from Ryan Hartman and left the ice bleeding. Kruger joins goalie Corey Crawford who's currently also on the IR with a concussion. The team also announced they've called up Luke Johnson from the AHL to replace Kruger on the roster.
