"Training camp hasn't even started yet and the Chicago Blackhawks just got some tough news. The Blackhawks announced today that they'll be without one of their forwards for at least 4-6 weeks. Forward Alex Nylander underwent knee surgery on Monday and will miss the first chunk of the season. "Alex Nylander sustained a knee injury during the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs," the team said in a statement. "He initially rested and trained conservatively; unfortunately, his symptoms came back when he started to skate. Alex had successful surgery on Monday to repair a meniscus tear in his left knee."The Buffalo Sabres 2016 first round pick had an up and down start with the Blackhawks last year and was looking for a big rebound season. He'll have to wait to get that going.
