Rookie Connor Bedard from the Chicago Blackhawks faced a bunch of questions from the media before their game against the Winnipeg Jets. The reporters kept bugging him about the Corey Perry situation, even bringing up rumors about Perry and Bedard's mom. Bedard got pretty annoyed with all that and responded with:

«It's just a bunch of BS on the internet. It's of course been an affect on myself and my family, and that's not fair. But it's out of our control. It's all just fake, made-up stuff.»

After the game, the Blackhawks' announcer, Darren Pang, shared that Mark Chipman, the owner of the Winnipeg Jets, hopped on the Blackhawks' team bus to say sorry to Bedard for the media's continuous and inappropriate questions about made-up rumors involving Corey Perry.

Darren Pang said on the Blackhawks broadcast that Jets owner Mark Chipman apologized to Connor Bedard for the questions he faced from Winnipeg reporters. I'm sure Chipman meant well, and I've said I don't agree with the line of questioning. But writers don't answer to owners.

It's not every day you hear about team owners saying sorry to players, but Mark Chipman did it, showing a rare example of an owner taking responsibility and being understanding.
