After kneeing Red Wings prospect Elmer Soderblom, he was ejected from the game. Yes, that brother of Chicago goalkeeper Arvid.
In the aftermath of the knee-to-knee fight, Simon Edvinsson was ready to go at Alex Vlasic. Vlasic, of course would receive five minutes for the knee on Soderblom, 2 more minutes for roughing and a game misconduct.
But Arvid wasn't on the ice tonight, as Elmer rebounded and the Red Wings obliterated the Blackhawks 6-1.
The NHL Department of Player Safety has not yet confirmed whether Vlasic will be disciplined.
Since they are the outside observers in all of this, they have not issued a statement yet, but if they review the play, they will discipline as they see fit.
