TSN's Chris Johnson has reported that Patrick Kane will likely be dealt on the trade deadline day which is on Friday, six days away. In the mean time Kane will sit from the lineup and remain out of games, but will still keep practicing at a local arena as seen on Twitter this morning, that Kane laced up the skates for his first practice in four days.
Chris mentions that the New York Rangers are rushing to get a deal done to regain cap space to be able to afford Patrick Kane, but confirms it will be done, and Kane will be a Ranger.
'It's not if, but when Patrick Kane is a New York Rangers, they have agreed on a deal but are sorting out the finances'.
Sadly for Blackhawks fans, the trade will still be happening, but we have to respect Kane's decision and prioritize his happiness.
Kane has spent sixteen years, going on seventeen with the Chicago Blackhawks. He has made a name for himself, and in some regards many believe he is the best American Born NHL player of All-Time.
