The Chicago Blackhawks Announce a Recall: Fans Will Have Something to Look Forward to

Ahead of tonight's game against the Dallas Stars, the Blackhawks recalled forward Lukas Reichel from the IceHogs. He's expected to play tonight and will likely play on a line with forwards Max Domi and Andreas Athanasiou.

Reichel has 46 points (17G, 29A) in 51 games with Rockford this season. He has three points (1G, 2A) in four games with the Blackhawks. Reichel was likely called up to fill in roster gaps, as forwards Patrick Kane and Sam Lafferty were traded earlier this week. He also seems to be filling in for forward David Gust's spot on the roster.

With one contract year already burned, Reichel could play the rest of the season as a Blackhawk if more forwards continue to be traded.
