Lukas Reichel has struggled the past nine games, having zero points across the board after having 9 in 16 last year.
The main reason seemed to be him being at the center position. Lukas played winger last year and put up those numbers. When he's at center he doesn't add anything.
Before the game against Florida, Luke Richardson finally moved Reichel to the wing. And it worked.
Reichel tallied his first NHL goal tonight, snagging the secondary assist after a beauty of a behind the back pass to Philipp Kurashev. Kurashev then shot the puck wide, then Nikita Zaitsev picked it up from the slot and sniped it home.
