It is safe to say that we've seen it all with the referees in the NHL this year. We've seen terrible penalties called and some blatantly obvious penalties missed. What happened tonight in the closing moments of the Tampa Bay Lightning and Vancouver Canucks game takes the cake. With about a minute left in the third period, Mikhail Sergachev threw a sucker punch over the crossbar that struck Conor Garland square in the jaw, knocking him to the ground.
