Nazem Kadri has been thee most talked about hockey players over the past three or four months, from his broken thumb injury to playing through the pain to winning the Stanley Cup, he is now left as a free-agent, and is undecided where his next teams destination will be. Despite Kadri's name being thrown around in plenty of rumours, there is some factual news that we can provide that are true about Kadri.

Kadri has made NHL history by being the first Muslim to win the Stanley Cup EVER! And he also plans to make NHL history once again, bringing the Stanley Cup to a location it has never ever been...

The London Ontario Canada Blog reported the following:

"BREAKING NEWS: Hockey superstar Nazem Kadri is bringing the Stanley Cup to London, Ont. this month. The Stanley Cup parade will be held on Saturday, August 27. The celebration will begin at the London Muslim Mosque at noon and end at downtown's Victoria Park. "To bring the Stanley cup back home to share with my community would be an honour and a privilege," Kadri told LondonBlog. "London is the city that raised me."

''Kadri became the first Muslim to win the Stanley Cup after the Colorado Avalanche defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-1 in Game 6 of the recent Stanley Cup Finals. The former London Knight and London, Ont. native suffered a thumb injury during Colorado's NHL playoff run but returned to the lineup following successful surgery. Kadri's first championship comes after a stellar 13th season reaching a career-high 87 points and following it up with seven goals and eight assists when it mattered most, in 16 playoff games. More information regarding the Stanley Cup parade will be released in the coming weeks."

This is pretty great for Canadians, and also Leafs fans, i guess they'll be seeing their first Stanley Cup in quite some time.. lol!
