In another setback for the Chicago Blackhawks, forward Joey Anderson has landed on the injured reserve list. This comes after Anderson left Sunday's game against the Vancouver Canucks with an upper-body injury, and the team revealed on Monday that he's now dealing with a left shoulder ailment.

Adding to the team's challenges, the Blackhawks already had five other players on the injured reserve list, including Andreas Athanasiou, Colin Blackwell, Jarred Tinordi, Taylor Hall, and Seth Jones, each nursing various injuries.

Anderson, who has been a consistent presence in the lineup this season, contributed five assists in 13 appearances for the Blackhawks. His absence will be felt, especially considering his increased ice time, averaging 13 minutes and 20 seconds per game, which is on track to be the highest in his career.

With the next game against the Colorado Avalanche looming on Tuesday night at the United Center, the Blackhawks face a tough situation. The team will need to regroup and find ways to navigate the challenges posed by multiple key players being on the injured reserve list.
