During the Toronto Marlies game last night a medical emergency broke out, no, not on the ice, but in the stands with a fan.
After 20 minutes of play during the game fans and players took the first period intermission break, where a fan had to be helped by paramedics and a medical emergency team.
The AHL ended up postponing/cancelling this game, and since, the AHL has published this statement:
I am glad they made the right call, health over hockey any day of the week! Fans will receive their tickets refunded OR receive a voucher for the re-scheduled game date.
