Since being held off the scoresheet in his Red Wing debut, former Blackhawk Dominik Kubalik has been on fire, especially since his promotion to the top line four games ago.
Kubalik has three goals, six assists and 15 shots over that timespan and is currently riding a five-game point streak with four goals and six assists.
He has four straight multi-point games, recording a goal and an assist in Detroit's 6-2 loss to the New Jersey Devils Tuesday, their first regulation loss of the season.
Kubalik's career-high in points is 46 which he had in his rookie season in Chicago with 30 goals. Assuming he can stay healthy and maintain a top line role, he should exceed 60 points. He clearly has benefitted from a change of scenery.
Who would have guessed through six games, both the Hawks and Wings would have eight points? That's why you play the games...
