Just literally minutes after signing a four year contract extension with the Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane would also share a cute photo of his children.
That's not all Kane would also share why he decided to remain a Edmonton Oiler signing a new deal that pays him $5.125 million dollars annually.
"I am pleased to announce I will be staying with the Edmonton Oilers for the next four seasons. Throughout the last 12 months there's been a lot of roadblocks, times of adversity and many tough days. I'm grateful for the tremendous amount of support from my family my friends teammates and others who have helped me stay strong through the difficult times
I want to thank the Edmonton Oilers for giving me the opportunity to remind people who I am as a player and as a person. I also want to thank my girlfriend Mara she has been my rock throughout these last 12 months and I'm grateful to have her by my side.
A big part of my decision to stay in Edmonton was because of the opportunity given to me 7 months ago but also the chance to be part of a championship team. I want to win and I believe after signing this new deal we love being able to add the right pieces along with myself to accomplish that goal a championship. See you in the fall."
