Duncan Keith Still Scoring at 38 - Why There's A Possibility He'll Retire in Chicago

Drafted by the Blackhawks in 2002, and having played with them from 2005-2021 makes Duncan Keith a Chicago legend - let alone the fact that he also won 3 Stanley Cups with them, 2 Norris Trophies, and the Con Smythe.

So of course, it was a bit of a shock to the entire city when he was traded to Edmonton, last year. Bu that doesn't stop his fans from rooting for him. And he clearly still has talent to share. Just four days ago, he became the oldest player in Oilers history to score a playoff goal.

He also had two assists that night, making Game 2 a 3 point night for him, helping his team tie the series at 1, and start their winning streak.
In the 64 games he played during Edmonton's regular season, he had 1 goal, and 20 assists, adding to his career total of 106 goals, and 540 assists in 1, 256 games.
The 38, soon to be 39, year old has one year left on his contract until he becomes an Unrestricted Free Agent in 2023. While Chicago will be smack dab in the middle of their rebuild, I can't see a reason for them not to sign him, even for a day, just so he can retire where he began, and spent almost all of his career.
