Dickinson's Dazzling Debut Turns Tide on Sharks

Chosen by the Dallas Stars in the first round of the 2013 draft, the Center/Left Winger didn't see the NHL until 2015. He stayed in Texas, being shuffled between the Dallas and Texas Stars until he was traded to Vancouver for the 2021-22 season. There, he played 62 games, got 5 goals, and a total of 11 points.
Now, in just one game with the Blackhawks, the 27 year old from Ontario already has 3 points on the board, in the form of 1 goal and 2 assists. As an added bonus, both the assists were primary, both were short-handed, and happened within 2:08 seconds. He also had two shots on goal, two hits, one takeaway and one blocked shot in 12:07 of ice time to help the Blackhawks come back from a 2-0 deficit to beat the Sharks 5-2, giving them their first win of the season.

Back in Dallas, he was putting up 53 points in 73 games with the Texas Stars in 2015/2016, 30 points in 53 games the next year, and 28 points in 42 games in the 2017/2018 season. He finally got to play solely for Dallas from 2018-2021, though his points weren't nearly as impressive. However, as is so frequent with hockey players, injuries don't necessarily reveal themselves until the season is over.

With that behind him, I think he is well on his way to getting his wish.
